Stories/Straeon

History is made up of stories from the past from the people who lived them.

Take a glimpse into life in Cardiff throughout the war, where volunteers played a key role in keeping the city alive. Young volunteers are working in collaboration with Kids in Museums, The Fusion Program, and Communities First in Cardiff, to rediscover the stories that shaped the city we live in today.

Stories/Straeon is unearthing memories from Cardiff during and immediately following the Great War (WWI).

#VCSHeritage

We’re exploring what it meant to be a Cardiffian in 1918 and how the efforts of volunteers past, have shaped the city we live in today.

An army of young volunteers are uncovering the stories of the people that helped Cardiff – and Wales – in the aftermath of WWI, celebrating them through a series of short films and interactive media, with a public exhibition in Summer 2017.
